On Saturday we had a lovely roast dinner, with tv highlights of the jubilee processions, followed by music ย by Steve and Laurie and games, and finished off with cheese, biscuits, and port.
At Kingsley we will had royal games in the garden, followed by an afternoon watching the queenโs event on the tv.
On Sunday we woke up to a cooked breakfast! And then we all got dolled up to party with family and friends to celebrate the jubilee in style!
It’s so wonderful that we can celebrate the country’s most famous elderly person. It’s incredibly important that we take a moment and remember all of the hard work and sacrifices that those who came before us have done. For that reason over the weekend we reminisced with our residents about the good times, while we made beautiful artwork and decorations to adorn the home, but more importantly we made wonderful new memories with everyone at Friary.
All in all we had a great time celebrating Queen Elizabethโs 70 years on the throne. To all our family and friends we hope you had a great time too!
