Today our residents went for a tour round London!
Residents and staff had a fun packed day decorating the care home with a glorious London theme.
We baked some delicious shortbread and the residents finished them off by decorating them – they made double decker buses, black cab taxis, phone boxes, Big Ben towers, and even some beefeaters standing to attention. It was so amazing and our residents had so much fun doing this!
We finished our trip to London by having a cheese board with high tea, served with a glass of fizz and a slice of our delicious homemade cake in the shape of a telephone box – made by Beth the cook. So many wonderful touches to our London theme that not allowed us to have an incredible day but also sparked a ton of conversations, many of them about reminiscing of the times we spent in our nation’s capital!
All in all we had such an amazing day!
