All the attractions featured in this guide prioritise accessibility, with detailed information provided about parking facilities, navigation ease and wheelchair access to ensure everyone can enjoy their visit comfortably.

Here are our top seven family-friendly Dorset attractions that elderly visitors can enjoy alongside loved ones of all ages.

Weymouth Sealife Centre

Starting with one of our favourite visitor attractions to visit with our residents at Friary Care, and one we visit regularly, as it’s such a huge hit among our elderly residents. It’s the perfect attraction for those who love wildlife, sea creatures and the underwater world. Right in the heart of Weymouth lies the iconic Sealife Centre, where visitors can experience wonderful moments with sea life like seals, turtles, rays and more. The Sealife Centre is both an indoor and outdoor attraction, so it can be enjoyed no matter the weather.

The Sealife Centre is wheelchair-friendly, and right outside the attraction is a large pay-and-display car park with plenty of disabled parking.
