Residents Enjoy an Active Afternoon Out in Weymouth

fit club for residents

Getting out and about, staying active and spending time together are all important parts of life at Friary Care. Recently, residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon in the local community, combining gentle exercise, social interaction and a well-deserved treat.

Keeping Active at Willowbed Hall

Residents attended a fitness club at Willowbed Hall, where they took part in a variety of exercises and activities designed to encourage movement, coordination and wellbeing.

The session was enjoyed by everyone, with plenty of smiles, laughter and encouragement throughout. Activities like these help residents stay active while also providing valuable opportunities to socialise and engage with others.

A Well-Earned Treat at Rossi’s

After the class, the group headed to Rossi’s for a well-earned ice cream. It was the perfect way to round off the afternoon, giving residents the chance to relax, chat and enjoy time together outside of the home.

The outing provided a wonderful balance of activity and leisure, helping residents stay connected to the local community while enjoying new experiences and familiar pleasures.

Supporting Wellbeing Through Meaningful Activities

Regular outings and activities play an important role in supporting both physical and emotional wellbeing. Whether it is keeping active, spending time with friends or simply enjoying an ice cream by the seaside, these moments help create positive experiences and lasting memories.

It was a lovely afternoon enjoyed by all, and we look forward to many more community outings in the future.

My grandmother is extremely happy at Friary House. The staff are hardworking, kind, caring and always smiling. As a family, we feel comfort knowing our grandmother/mother is safe and happy. At Friary House, the team are exceptional. Thank you!
