We have had a wonderful time at Friary Care getting into the Scottish spirit, putting up decorations adorned in tartan and St Andrew’s cross, and celebrating the life of Robert ‘Rabbie’ Burns, born in 1759, and one of Scotland’s most eminent poets.
We’ve taste-tested lots of lovely traditional Scottish delicacies including smoked salmon, haggis, and even put our hands to making our very own Scottish shortbread. We’ve also had an authentically Scottish homemade lunch of Cullen Skink, and homemade scotch pies for tea, and we even washed it down with a few cheeky drams of whiskey.
All in all we’ve had an amazing day and we would like to wish everyone a very lovely Burns Night!
