Armistice Day 2024

Poppy wreath

Staff and residents at Friary Care have come together for Armistice Day.

For Armistice Day (also known as Remembrance Day) everyone at Friary Care wants to show our sombre respect and gratitude for the countless many who sacrificed so much in conflicts across the world.

To mark this occasion we have decorated the homes and will be proudly displaying our poppies. We’ve made some special decorations with our hands to make a statement that Armistice Day is close to us and our hearts.

We have, as many others have, had two minutes of silence in order to commemorate all of those valiant souls who will forever be in our hearts. We will be raising a glass to all those affected by conflicts, and in particular to salute those who have been, or still are, in our care.

We Shall Remember.

My grandmother is extremely happy at Friary House. The staff are hardworking, kind, caring and always smiling. As a family, we feel comfort knowing our grandmother/mother is safe and happy. At Friary House, the team are exceptional. Thank you!

Our commitment to your safe care

Throughout the pandemic we have been advised by the Department of Health, The Care Quality Commission, Public Health England, and our dedicated GP. This has ensured our ability to give the maximum protection to those who have made their home with Friary Care, our staff and their families. All our staff and residents have been offered the Covid-19 vaccine and we are looking to the future with a much easier heart.
