Dignity Day - 1st Feb 2021

Dignity Action Day

Today is Dignity Action Day!

Dignity Action Day #DAD2021 is an annual opportunity for health and social care workers, and members of the public to uphold people’s rights to dignity and provide a truly memorable day for people who use care services.”

And we here at Friary Care want to commemorate, highlight, and continue to uphold everyone’s right to dignity.

Friary Care Dignity Day - 1st February 2021

Dignity is about treating individuals with respect, ensuring our residents, our staff, and all our loved ones are treated with the utmost respect and kindness at all times. This year, possibly more than any other, it is incredibly important to show dignity to everyone and to encourage showing this on a daily basis.

This year we will be celebrating Dignity Action Day by letting everyone at Friary Care share a moment where they felt a person showed dignity to another. We will also be having a special ‘buffet digni-tea’ where our residents will be able to select from all manner of lovely nibbles for their meal.

From all everyone in the Weymouth care team, take care and have a happy Dignity Action Day!

My grandmother is extremely happy at Friary House. The staff are hardworking, kind, caring and always smiling. As a family, we feel comfort knowing our grandmother/mother is safe and happy. At Friary House, the team are exceptional. Thank you!

Our commitment to your safe care

Throughout the pandemic we have been advised by the Department of Health, The Care Quality Commission, Public Health England, and our dedicated GP. This has ensured our ability to give the maximum protection to those who have made their home with Friary Care, our staff and their families. All our staff and residents have been offered the Covid-19 vaccine and we are looking to the future with a much easier heart.
