Friary Care celebrate Friendship Day

Friary Care - Friendship Day

Instead of Valentine’s Day we here at Friary Care celebrate Friendship Day!

Friendship Day for us here at Friary Care means an opportunity to celebrate friendship in all of its forms with our amazing residents, staff, and families. This year we’re celebrating Friendship Day with chocolates, followed by a fillet steak meal, and topped off with a homemade cream-heart gateaux with fresh strawberries – all served with a delicious glass of champagne!

Our residents have decorated the home with a beautiful array of different flowers, hearts, and lots of colour! They really know how to get the ambience ready! We’ve also put together ‘friendship packs’ for our residents. These are effectively wooden versions of the sweet shop favourite ‘love hearts’ but for us these are ‘friendship hearts’.

Each ‘friendship heart’ provides a prompt for discussion: to reminisce about the good ol’ days and all the good times we used to enjoy getting up to, but also to be thankful for all of the good things and good friends we have in our lives.

All these wonderful moments is what Friendship Day is all about!

My grandmother is extremely happy at Friary House. The staff are hardworking, kind, caring and always smiling. As a family, we feel comfort knowing our grandmother/mother is safe and happy. At Friary House, the team are exceptional. Thank you!

Our commitment to your safe care

Throughout the pandemic we have been advised by the Department of Health, The Care Quality Commission, Public Health England, and our dedicated GP. This has ensured our ability to give the maximum protection to those who have made their home with Friary Care, our staff and their families. All our staff and residents have been offered the Covid-19 vaccine and we are looking to the future with a much easier heart.
