Ron takes part in Remembrance Event in London

Many of you will know Mr Ronald Meades who is a Burma star veteran of the Burma campaign between 1939-45 during second world war.

On Thursday 7 November 2019 Ron, from our Weymouth care home took part in the Field of Remembrance ceremony in London, which was also attended by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

It is one of many Remembrance events across the country that remembers those who gave their lives in the two world wars and all who have died in combat since.

Members of Burma star planted tiny remembrance cross in the grounds of Westminster Abbey.

The event will be televised by ITV on 8 November and you can watch it again on catchup TV.
