We had an lovely time celebrating the 80th anniversary of VE Day at Friary Care! ✌️🇬🇧
We wanted to commemorate the sacrifices that were made during World War 2, by those young and old, such that we could all live lives full of joy and laughter.
We celebrated with some great British favourites: with afternoon tea, with some drinks, with some lovely flowers arranged by the residents, but also some brilliant entertainment by some amazing singers! All whilst spending time reflecting on how lucky we are.
This was all whilst surrounded by family and friends. And during our two minutes silence we kept in our hearts the incredibly important message that: we shall continue to remember the sacrifices that were made 80 years ago, but also the sacrifices that are made in the here and now, to keep our loved ones safe.
And remember: We’ll meet again, don’t know where, don’t know when, but I know we’ll meet again some sunny day whilst still standing tall and proud of our country.
